Gas tank leaked (recalled), radio would not turn on, GPS would get lost (could not find current location), climate control stopped completely (processor replaced), battery died every 3 to 4 months, suspension would go to the lowest setting for no reason, steering wheel cover curled up and fell...

Thanks for posting these pictures! Good stuff! It's my duty to warn you, I had a 2005 LR3 and traded it for a 2008 Landcruiser. Nothing but problems with the LR3 (same color as the one in your picture too). I got to know Landrover's fleet of loaners. There is also another 4runner owner here...

I really haven't had any problems until lately, the outside treads are bald - probably because I corner hard. I'm around 49,900 right now and the tires seem okay even with all the rain (no noticeable hydroplaning) we've been having down here lately.

As a former Land Rover owner (LR3), the Defender may look unique but you'll end up driving loaner cars while the dealership is working on your car.

My next door neighbor has an '07. I was really impressed with the interior (he let me sit in it). Doesn't seem like a poor-man's anything - I was thinking "Lexus" to myself. I really like Avalons. I might have to go and test-drive an '08.

My personal favorite was a guy in a Ford F150 Harley Davidson Edition, next to me at a traffic light: pulls out fast at the greenlight, then looks over at me because I'm still next to him at around 70mph. The LC is a great Sleeper - most people don't expect much.

It's kind of like a conference call for 3 people. If I'm talking with one person, and another one calls, I can "merge" the calls so the 3 of us can talk. Yeah, that voice recognition just doesn't work very well. I'm originally from the Midwest so I don't think I'm hard to understand...
