I would check the oil cap or even better remove the valve cover to check before putting these cleaners in the engine. I, too, do all oil changes myself and sold all the car without any problems.

Yours is a V8, for V6 it's 5.5 qts for drain and refill with filter change. I too wonder why he's not using oil pan drain.

I know this is an old thread but were you able to find the issue? I have the exact same issue. I replaced the front transfer case actuator because it was shot. Everything works fine but the light is still flashing.

Good info, seems like Dayco is OEM pulley supplier for Toyota.
