Recently got this 98 sr5, 285/70r17 Nitto trail grapplers going to put 265s on it I rarely take it to the dunes and some trails so want an all terrain. Any recommendations? Other than that gonna keep it how it is.

17 I just recently got a 98 and it has 285/70/17 tires on it and 17 inch rims. It has 3 in lift in front and 2 in the back. Are these tires too big or is it the rims? When we changed out the rotors we noticed that the bolts on the rims only screw in about 5-6 threads . That’s as tight as they...

Hey I was curious if anyone could shed some light onto why my 4runner doesn’t have a 4wd emblem. 1998 just got it, it has the sr5 and the 4runner emblems but not the 4wd one. Was it taken off? Or did it not come with it??

Thanks for the response, I switched over to full synthetic automatic transmission fluid dex 6 and mixed a bottle of Lucas transmission fluid in there. It shifts a lot smoother now. If it starts to shift rough again I’ll change the motor mount and bushings.

Lthanks for the info! I ordered some of that tri flow super lube and sprayed with wd40 in meantime. They’re still pretty noisy but will report back after using the tri flow. That’s a good idea I’ll contact king and see if they have any insight. Eventually I’ll probably go back to a more stock...

Yea I’m gonna start there and then see what happens. Even when I hit a tiny bump it feels like I just hit a massive pothole, wasn’t sure if something is wrong or is that’s just how it is. Thanks for the response, appreciate it!

Hey I just got a 98 4runner and mines doing the same thing, when I shift into reverse or drive it jerks the car very hard. Going to flush transmission fluid tomorrow to see if that helps. If it still continues is there anything else I can do to prevent/ fix that? Is this damaging my transmission?
