What did you do with your classic T4R today?

Replaced the worn out rear differential (4.31's) with Marlin Crawlers (4.88's) on my 22re Auto. Long overdue and well worth it. Moves so much quicker and now my speedo seems dead on too. Found a 94 part out, snagged the front carrier to match the back, haven't tackled that one yet, but soon...

    rear axle sqawk

been researching replacement 3rd members myself & replacing bearings and such, but still haven't gathered enough intel yet. One source I found was https://www.marlincrawler.com/axle/rear-axle-parts/rear-axle-service-kit-1979-99 highly recommended source from what I gather, guessing it'd be more...

    1987 T4R Auto, 22re - Shifter doesn't lock when off

I've searched around but perhaps not using the correct keywords so hoping the knowledge base here may have an answer. I'm assuming the Automatic floor shifter should only move when key is in and brakes are applied, like modern day vehicles. Does the ECT computer underneath the radio control...

What did you do with your classic T4R today?

CL find months back, bought a treasure trove of 1980's Yota parts for cheap. It was branded Toyota but no idea what it came off of. I just siliconed it in the spare tire access hole and wired it up. Yes, stock bumper from PO, just repainted, would like to find a straight chrome one myself...

    Torsion Bar Replacement Hardware

First timer as well but did a lot of searching and the major consensus was New Bolts. They tend to stretch especially after 29 years. Gave them my VIN, ordered OEM Bolts but they were shorter than OEM but they still worked. Also got 2 Hexagon nuts as well. I have an 87, got the below from...

Cali 4runner Yep, went with OME 2" lift but decided to try the torsion bar versus BJ spacers at first. My mistake... couldn't level out with new rear leafs (I even took a leaf out of that pack), opened the wallet back up and got 1.5" BJ lift, replaced both Upper & Lower ball joints while I was...
