Yeah I spent like an hour trying to push the stupid tabs in and finally just yanked it off and it somehow didn't break. I was this close to doing what you did and grabbing the dremel. Didn't even think about why that side has one and the other doesn't but I guess washer fluid makes sense...

Just replaced mine with Baja's. Removing that stupid passenger splash cover was the bane of my existence and the absolute worst part of the install. Do people usually reinstall the splash cover or just leave it off?

No expert here just trying to add more info. On my 14 before I got rid of it I ran the 2.5/1.5 toytec spacers for 70K miles without the diff drop and never noticed any adverse affects. Take that as a grain of salt in a big ocean of salt, lol
