Were you able to put the same size tire underneath as a spare ?

Maybe in the 70's you could get like this in the lower 48 but not many places that are that remote. Even in Death Valley you'll see someone.

I did a tour of the Serengeti and our rig that we were running didn't even have dual spare tires let alone an extra gas tank. I doubt there is any trails in Colorado where you would burn more than 20 gallons without finding a gas station to refuel.

Wow. Why does he have a spare tire on his roof rack and one under his rig.. Its people like this who make a bad name for wheelers and have the trails become closed..
