What's the most appropriate choice fuse on our trucks to run wire for a couple of USB chargers? I don't want them powered when the power is not on. I'm looking at the fuse box and I know which ones I don't want to to tap onto, but I'm not sure which one of the rest to pick for the job.

Finally put a dash cam. Not hardwired. Just routed around to the cigarette lighter. Not great, but not too bad for now. Might see if I can tap into the map lights harness later. I don't have the fancy mirror they sell adapters for.

Don’t these two sentences contradict each other? The mileage is most certainly stored in the cluster. Whether it’s available anywhere else doesn’t mater, because when the cluster is replaced, the mileage displayed will be whatever mileage is stored in the replacement cluster.

I’m on my third year after the HG job. It was costly, but I’ve had this truck since it had about 35K miles on, so I knew I its past and for me it was worth it. Had I gotten it at 150K, I might’ve opted otherwise.

But you will pay more this way. A lot of things have to get out of the way when replacing the head gaskets. If any of these things need replacement, it will be much cheaper to do it right there and then, instead of separately.

Read further and you'll find about Toyota quietly redesigning the head gasket to address the issue they will never acknowledge. People usually start looking around when they have an issue. Even with the issue you might be able to drive it past 200+. It's not always catastrophic right away...

Did your idle get better? After my hg job I can definitely feel more shake at idle then before. That's when the idle is at ~500. Better when it's higher. New PCV valve, clean MAF sensoor and TB. No codes, just feels rougher. Truck is at ~175K. Wonder if all the pulling and yanking didn't...
