Thanks.... I'll have to look into buying one of those TrueFlow's off your website... once i can justify the cost... (after i put like 20,000 miles on my current filter)

    New TrueFlow

How do i know if i have a newwer amsoil filter or an older one? Mine has a pretty stiff surround, and wasn't that easy to wedge in... But do they look different? mine has a blue foam outside, a metal mesh backside, and a black foam front. ~Ryder

    New TrueFlow

How does this filter compare to the amsoil filter? that's what I have, with the deckplate, and I really like it. ~Ryder

    Clutch Failure

Recently my newly installed clutch failed. It was about 3 monhts old with about 4,000 miles on it. absolutely no problems until hell broke lose. I was going up a hill, and shifted into 3rd gear and i started revving. I kept reving the engine to keep the car moving, without realizing what was...

4WD light not lit in 4HI

Ok, so i did more investiation... the front driveshaft locks, BUT, the front axels don't lock. So the driveshaft is spinning from the transfer case but the front tires aren't engaged. I found out it's a lead on the transmission, and i don't know why it's bad, i figured out which harness it is...

4WD light not lit in 4HI

all i can say is, that's halarious. Haha, i'd like to race a riced out crap car and kick his butt just to silence them... Yeah, I'll take it offroad and make sure the 4wd is wokring (although driveshaft locking is pretty certian)... but one issue that you don't have is the light NEVER turns on...

    Price on a 97 2wd?

IMHO i would say that's not a great price, I picked up a 1996 SR5 with 118k miles, in GREAT condition for $5,000 (although i did end up replacing the clutch). I'd say keep looking around. Some more info about the car is useful, like is it the 4 cyl or the V6. Also, is it the SR5 or the...

4WD light not lit in 4HI

I just did a clutch replacment, and now when i shift into 4HI (non-electronic shifting) the 4WD light doesn't come on. But when i'm in 4LO the light comes on (which shows the light is working) I went under the vehicle and put it in 2HI, and the front driveshaft moved freely, then I shifted into...

3rd gen driver side running board

Just as the topic says. A driver side running board for a 3rd gen 4runner (1996 to 2002). I jacked the passenger side board (available if wanted), and just removed both. I can send pictures if requested. Board is in good condition with mounting bolts. Make an offer if you want them! ~Ryder

Looking for a left running board 97' Limited Edition

Eh, nevermind, I looked at some pictures of the Limited, and it's a totally different running board setup, and none that I saw were chrome.... In any case, anyone looking for a driver side running board for a 3rd gen SR5 ?

Looking for a left running board 97' Limited Edition

Wow, funny i should find this post.... assuming the "left" running board is the driver side running board, I have one off my 1996 SR5 4runner. I jacked the running board on the passenger side doing some off roading, I ended up removing them, and using the molded fender flairs. I am no expert...

    Intake recommendations

Ok... i *JUST* finished the deckplate mod... and HOLY CRAP, it rules. That is probably the best bang for your buck mod that exsists. At wide open throttle i can really feel/hear the power difference, there really is no reason not to do the deckplate mod :) Also, last night i ordered my amsoil...

    Intake recommendations

Yeah, I assumed that better airflow would equal at least some improvment in gas mileage. By the way, do you have the K&N drop in filter, or does your deckplate box use the stock filter?... i'm planning on using the K&N reguardless just because of it being washable and the million mile warranty...
