Yeah, I was playing in the mud. I got the new alternator for $79.99 and a new battery for 84.99. It took about 20 minutes to get everything in and my 'runner is back to normal.

I was afraid of that, lol. Thank you for your help. I'll go pick one up as soon as the autozone opens. I'm not familiar with changing the brushes.

We got some much needed rain here in southern California yesterday and needless to say I took full advantage of the mud. The engine compartment got pretty soaked and dirty (not to mention the rest of the truck) and right before I was about to head home, the Charge light and Brake light came on...

I know someone who is junking a '94 T4r and was hoping the front seats would bolt in to my '86. Does anyone know if the bolt holes are the same? Also is there any other seats that would bold right in that I might be able to find at the junkyard(Like from a Toyota pickup). Thanks! -----Mike

I'm not sure if it's the same problem, but I get a noise when I go over a bump such as a driveway while turning, and again when I straighten out. I'm not sure how far the torsion bar is cranked but it seems loose. (I can move it side to side about two inches easily.) If you have any suggestions...

I have unplugged the wires to the cold start injector but it still puts out fuel with the engine on or off as long as the key is on. It does this when the motor is cold or warm. I am assuming the injector should be closed with the wires off and is probally stuck open. Am I right?

That was it! There was a blown 7.5 amp fuse in there. :bash: I put a 15 amp in and it's working great. :D

Does anyone know where the fuse is for the hazard lights/horn in an '86 runner?? I believe it is a 15 amp fuse but I don't have a 15 amp fuse behind the drivers side kick panel or behing the glove box or under the hood and all of the covers have the words worn off. Thanks for any thoughts you...
