This was my issue with the original KOs. I ran two sets, first on a F150 and then on a Wrangler. Both behaved the same way. The tread pattern simply doesn't channel standing water away effectively at highway speeds. With frequent thunderstorms and metro Atlanta interstates that's a problem...

If you're hunting leaks, don't forget the plastic water deflector sheet in the doors. That's where I finally found my leak. The carpet on the driver's side (front and back seats) was wet. Doors were the last place I looked. Part of the sheet had pulled away and slid down. Reattached it with...

Had it go bad on my Sequoia and it's a pricey repair. When it failed it eventually put the car in a "limp home" mode w/o full power. It's common on Tundras and Sequoias and I seem to recall eventually seeing a DIY work-around over on the TundraSolutions forum.

Went through the process of elimination today and this was the answer. Brake light on drivers side would not light up. After testing many things, then unplugged the wiring harness, pulled out the turn signal bulb / connecter, lightly scrubbed the tabs and cleaned them with electrical cleaner...

I went from a Wrangler to a 3 series BMW (E46) to the 4Runner.......4Runner rides very nicely for what it is....but you do have to tell it where to go. A BMW will simply go where you look, it's an extension of you and flows down the road effortlessly.

It doesn't look like this design would channel water any better than the current tire. IMO that's the biggest issue with BFG's AT. I've run them twice, once on an F150 and also on a Wrangler and I won't do it again. I spend too much time on the interstate in the rain and there are designs...

Just under 46,000 miles on mine, replacing them tomorrow with Toyo Open Country AT II. Granted it's been mostly Atlanta streets / interstates with an occasional foray down dirt roads or farm trails. They did fine with a light foot in the ice we had this past winter.

Mine are mounted on the vertical front of the center console / armrest, maybe 1/3 the way up.
