The antenna in my 4unner is bent so no longer retracts. The motor is still good though, is there a replacement antenna (after market) that I can swap i can used instead of using a new retractable antenna?
Man, I was hoping you wouldnt say that haha. And yea I have seen it a number of times. I have looked a couple places and havent had any luck with finding them, If I do find them on classified threads they are post from years back and already been sold. I wonder if any yards would have some.
Simply aesthetic and looks. I like the lifted look and all terrain tires. The runner is my daily driver is why I dont want to do any off roading. I'm hoping to be able to buy a 3rd gen tacoma in the future to road. But thats down the line
Looking to get a decent lift (3") on my daily driver 3rd gen. I wont be doing any off roading. I was orginally going with a daystar spacer kit but after much research I kept seeing people say spacers create a harsh ride, so I am looking at this kit here from Toytec

Yea I read about doing that on here ealier today, I have to check the around the local yards and eventually go for that option. I have seen a couple spacer kits in the range of $140-$200 so that is no problem.
3" lift
Thanks for the response, so what you are saying is if I were to go with the sencond option, the ride could possibly still be fairly harsh unless I change coils all around? Or would I be ok with doing the front spacers and and the rear OME's?
After reading up for weeks, I have found everyone has a different opinion on every lifting method. Im stuck between the two options for my '01 3rd Gen 4Runner 151k miles:
1) A basic billet spacer kit using the stock springs
OR
2) 3" spacers with rear OME Coils from Toytec
