Rock Auto directed me to a Bando 7PK2150 based on the truck I have on file with them, on clearance for under $5 - but the Bando website you linked directs me to a 7PK2145. The last 4 numbers I see represents its length in mm.
Anyone know if the extra 5 mm on the one I just ordered cause me a...
I guess "need" wasn't the best word to use here. The guy in the video sold me on how much easier it is to do it from underneath. I'm shooting for a cuss free operation here. :)
I can't find a good writeup or video on replacing the Serpentine Belt on a 5th gen. Everything I've found was for 4th or older. http://www.toyota-4runner.org/4th-gen-t4rs/82482-diy-changing-serpentine-belts-v6-1gr-fe-4runners.html https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K81zmYh6HTE...
Heh. Good point. But for sake of conversation, why were their dark ARCS and not just dark DOTS directly underneath each loose dimple if it’s caused by arcing. It’s not like the twist lock housings rotate around on their own over time—-or do they?
FIXED! Thank You!
What I did:
1) Wedged down the brake pedal with screwdriver. Confirmed left light not lit BRIGHT. Turned car off.
2) Popped off back left cover using flathead screwdriver in small tab (lower right).
3) Removed two (2) 10mm nuts with deep socket and extension.
4) Popped lens...
thank you. Reading through these I can’t didnt any that seem to represent my symptoms. All of these seem to be for a light that doesn’t light AT ALL versus lit DIM but not going BRIGHT upon braking. This seems to be a key detail that points to the brake switch mechanism not completing a circuit...
It came with OEM bulbs (no idea if that makes it a dual filament) - I replaced it with an LED aftermarket. Neither bulb (original incandescent and LED replacement) glows bright when brake is applied - just stays dim.
If it was a bad connection between the bulb and the bulb housing or bulb housing to the housing socket, wouldnt it not work at all? It lights up, just doesn't go BRIGHT when brake pedal is depressed.
Thanks for the reply and links. Yes, Its a 5th gen hence the posting to the 5th Gen forum - Ive added that detail in my profile now. Thank you.
None of those links seemed to address a light that lights dim when lights are on but only doesnt go BRIGHT when braking. If they do, I missed it.
