I had a chunk of a valve spring "get past" a screen on one of my old trucks. It locked up the oil pump. Different car different year, different everything, BUT..I wouldnt ever say it cant happen

I would do EVERYTHING I could to get it out. If it breaks into or gets ground into smaller pieces, it COULD (not saying it WILL but COULD) get into an oil galley that feeds oh, maybe the crank or a rod bearing? If you try every possible thing then you did your best and just hope for the best...

LOL. I was going to edit my post and add that i DID install with radiator OUT. It is between the radiator and condenser and would be a total pain installing without taking the radiator out....

What B&M cooler are you running? My Hayden has metal tubing running through it, which is where the fluid runs, so it HAS to flow through the whole thing. Im curious to see your B&M.

BTW, Freeman Toyota here in DFW (Hurst) had radiators for $111 bucks. They are cheaper than Camelback on a lot of their stuff. Just a heads up! Amazon was $121...

I got a hayden from amazon for 30 bucks. It included hoses and clamps and mounting straps. super easy and well packaged. It is smaller than i expected, but running along with the new radiator, itll be fine. I'll get you a part number

Even though I did this as well, I was reluctant as to add the "problem" of the strawberry shake back into my new radiator. I too am using both, I have a faint fear in the back of my mind that doing so will create issues later on.

I got away with a 3 and a 6 inch extension. Two of them I had to come in at a weird angle, but all went well. Good luck..pretty simple job. BTW, I got an OEM Denso from the dealer for cheaper than amazon

I can get mine out in about 20 minutes not including removing the tire. I cant remember if I did or not when I did it, I dont think I did. Ive only done it once. The TRANS dipstick tube comes apart to allow it to come through the wheel well. Stupid easy. It looks hard but its really easy
