I never took a picture but just grabbed this from the internet. My undercarriage still looks brand new and just the bottom of my boot looked a little wet. Not a lot of fluid was coming out. My boot even looked pretty new. But I think you get the idea. Any fluid is no good.

You are correct. Bought a white TRD Pro WITH KDSS (was looking for this option). Most dealers would not budge on msrp in San Diego. Some rediciously overpriced, too or full of add on crap I didn't want. Finally tried the Costco program and the Toyota dealer in Poway was able to get one for 41k...

I had a 2015 with no KDSS and just bought a 2021 with KDSS. Night and day difference for me. Don't plan on massive suspension upgrades and do 90% street driving. I really appreciate the KDSS.
