yeah, I would prefer to not change them to the older 5x7 style but I will if that's where the best options are.

yeah, I've done an HID retrofit before on my Discovery and I was not 100% sure I wanted to tackle that again but I'll consider it. Thank you for the reply!
anyone have any good luck and could recommend a brighter bulb? Are the LED bulbs that much better or do you have a recommendation of a brighter, whiter halogen/xenon bulb?

I realize this thread is a few months old but I didn't see anything more recent. Do you guys still meet up in the Charlotte area? I just got a 2nd gen 4Runner and looking to see some other peoples
looking forward to seeing how it comes out. I might try either this method or the plastic filler rod; either way I need to v-groove out the cracks and fill since it's a padded dash and it's curled up at the cracks.
traded a guy my 04 Discovery for his 95 4Runner; yes I dropped down in years, but WAY down in headaches! this Toyota is SOOOO much simpler and less convoluted! Still have my '10 F150 FX4 as my DD
