Stole Got_boost's idea (thanks! :thanks:) and hoisted up the RTT. Only major change was using a AC winch vs a hoist, so I could pull horizontally and mount to the ceiling without much fabrication.

Definitely not a mechanic, but things to look for are pretty basic: rust, brakes, etc. Also ask when the timing belt/water pump were last replaced.

The CVJ axles are near-OEM quality but at less than half the price (direct from Toyota is something like $4-500 per axle). Alternatively, you can also outfit them at purchase with better boots or even longer variants if your truck is lifted 2+ in to better reduce wear and tear.

Second this. If you run any sort of non-stock suspension (or even if you're stock), I'd suggest CVJ Axles.

Here's mine with 265/70R17. Not sure what the exact lift is (Bilstein 6112 w/ coils up front, 5100 w/ stock springs in rear), but I can measure floor to fender in a few. Update: ground to wheel well is ~36" front and back.
