2009 Limited V6 Muilti Mode 4wd Rear Diff not limited slip ?

Thank you for your input. As for searching for this thread I did and I did not really find the answer I was looking for. In fact many techical posts I have found did not explain the 2H operation of a 4runner with the the multi mode 4wd system. Maybe the answer is obvious one but I have yet...

2009 Limited V6 Muilti Mode 4wd Rear Diff not limited slip ?

From what I understand a 2wd only 4runner would have a limited slip differential on the rear. If you have a SR5 4runner or a Limited 4runner with a V6 with multi mode 4wd in 4H mode it utilizes center limited slip differential called Torsen. This system would be the same on a 4runner limited...

    2009 Limited V6 Muilti Mode 4wd. 2wd or 4wd daily drive

Would it be OK to tow 6 X 10 cargo trailer in the 4H drive mode with a v6 Runner. I usually tow in 2wd in 4th so no overdrive on. The max trailer weight is 2990. I usually don't tow with anywhere near that weight. Also, would it be OK to drive a v6 runner in the 4H mode at 75 mph on highway?

    2009 Limited V6 Multi Mode 4wd in 2wd mode

Thank you for your reply. Being your limited is a V8 is it always in 4wd even though the center differential is not locked ? With a V6 limited you can select 2 wheel drive. I have never have had this bang sound when 4wd. Only in 2wd with drive on the rear wheels only. Thanks for all your help.

    2009 Limited V6 Multi Mode 4wd in 2wd mode

Hi my 4runner is a Limited with a V6 no rear electronic locking differential and I was running in 2wd mode. If I am accelerating in the rain from a stop and I run over a man hole cover and on rear tire slips could I hear a bang sound from the rear when my tires regains traction. In the past...

4th Generation Brake Computer true or false ?

OK, thank you for your insight. I thought I read somewhere that the computer tracked how you braked. From time to time my brakes act more aggressively.

4th Generation Brake Computer true or false ?

Is it true that the 4th Generation 4Runners actually has a computer that records Your braking style and as a result will make adjustments to the brake system? If this is true does the computer that does the recording start over again at some point and relearn your braking style and once again...

2009 Limited V6, Spark plugs needs to be changed?

OK, thank you. At the point that the Toyota Dealer mentioned the Diff and Transfer case fluid change they did not mention changing the Spark Plugs. As an aside, the Toyota Dealer wanted to charge me over $200 to change the fluids in the Differentials and the transfer case. My local mechanic...

2009 Limited V6, Spark plugs needs to be changed?

Does everyone that has a 4th Generation with a V6 actually change the spark plugs every 30K miles? I purchased my 2009 4Runner with about 39K miles and it was Certified by the Toyota dealer and I did have it serviced at the dealer for the next 30K miles. The Toyota dealer never mentioned...

2009 Limited V6 Oil Plug Access Panel ... Missing ?

Yes, it is the oval opening in the skid panel that allows access to the oil drain plug. Do people ever replace them if they go missing?
