Mine looked the same. Began the process of trying to get the rusted striker and bolts out and ended up snapping one of the bolts. How did yours turn out? I'm getting ready to drop the spare tire to see how bad the rust is. :Cry:

I did mine on the ground. (2008 V8) But it was a PITA. Really tight and tough to get leverage on a wrench at times. Would of been much easier if it was on stands.

Thanks! Already installed the Slyfox75 AIP/SAIS bypass kit as a preventative maintenance so I consider that an upgrade. Also installed a Pedal Commander earlier this week. And wow. Impressed with the pedal response. Still trying different levels on the PC to find my sweet spot.

Was very skeptical when I went to see it. Price was low compared to others (V6's) in the area. Was pleasantly surprised to see that the Timing belt was just done in December. And yeah...the frame is a lil more rusty than others...but nothing was soft (yet!). But nothing a lil TLC can't fix...

Thanks Firebird. I have applied Febreeze about 3 times so far. It seems to be helping a little. Sadly I'm located in Chicago, so leaving the windows down to vent is a no go. So the resolve type cleaner didn't damage the liner? I'll keep this in mind. Thanks.
