"Toyoda" CV Boot? - Concerned, should I be??

So I tackled one (of 2) of my CV reboots this weekend and was inspecting the boot when I noticed this.

Toyoda??

It came from a large online dealer so I'm fairly certain its factory. The quality was top notch.

Anyone else ever see this?

End result was great. Ready to pull the one from my 2008 and drop this one in. Then do it all over again.

I have a replacement steering rack with the same "Toyoda" name on it. After some research I found that apparently that's the correct spelling of the Toyoda family name, and was the original spelling of car companies name. Not sure why it's still showing up on some products though.

It's Toyoda Gosei Co. which is an OEM supplier for Toyota and some other brands. Toyota owns 43% of the company.

I just double checked an axle I rebooted for a spare. I know its OEM , I bought it from my local stealership. As expected reads "Toyoda". Never noticed before. Also one of the clamps that comes with the kits sucks. The bend over style, I always break it. I replace it with a Napa alternative that has worked well for me.

Toyota Motor Corporation was founded in 1937 by a man called Kiichiro Toyoda, and it was named after him. The reason why it is called "Toyota" and not "Toyoda" is that people thought it sounded better and it also meant that the name could be written in Japanese with eight strokes of the pen. In Japan, since the olden days, people have thought that the number 8 was lucky and meant that things would go well in the future. So the name "Toyota" was chosen in the hope that not only the company but also Japan would prosper.

Kiichiro Toyoda was the eldest son of Sakichi Toyoda, a great inventor who built a machine called the Toyoda Automatic Loom which could weave cloth automatically.

Off topic, but how was the rebuild? Was there a write-up you followed? Got two in my garage ready for the same treatment when the time comes.

I read through a few write-ups and watched a few videos.

Its fairly straight forward. Just really messy.

And this YouTube video was fairly helpful. He seemed to be doing it for the first time so you'll see where he gets a lil challenged at certain steps.

One thing to remember (cause I forgot) is to make some marks on the axle and roller assembly/cup so everything goes back together the same as before. I'll find out how critical this step is once I install my donor axle. Hoping I don't get a vibration or something to that effect b/c its put back together slightly different.

I did it solo and took my time, along with cleaning/sanding/priming and painting. Took probably 1/2 day total (spread-out over few days).
