Just spoke with the Toyota dealership and they are saying that there is also an ABS snap ring and sprock that need to be cut off and replaced......???? If anyone has replace the hub assembly on their 4th gen 4runner I would love to hear what all was involved and how it went for you.
What type of problem would that be? I just have the hub assembly (link below showing the new part purchased)

Thanks for the help...I was hoping to be able to pull off the controls but when they didn't easily I was sure in wasn't correct. Looks like I'm off to take the dash apart.
