I hear ya. I’m looking at putting the MXT275 into ours as well...would like to have a decent “base” radio that’s powerful and the handhelds first out of the vehicle excursions. I found the handhelds at Walmart for $65, so pretty reasonable.

We have Midland GXT1000s and they are pretty well built. Waterproof-ish and fairly compact. Great sound and easy to use.

I did go with the LasFits out back and, as mentioned, are incredibly bright. I had originally gone with another GTR bulb that needed a resistor for the rears, but ultimately went with the LasFits as I didn’t like tapping into the wires.

GTR Carbide LED 2.0 is what I’ve been using. They are on when headlights are on and flash quite bright.

Awesome - glad you got it figured out. I do recall the round connector being a little harder to get fully seated. You'll like the DRL - not blinding, but enough to make sure you are easily seen. I put the Morimoto 2Stroke 2.0 in my lows and they match up pretty well with the Xenon's. Still...

This is going to sound stupid, but I was experiencing the same thing...because I didn't have the vehicle on and running... I know that sounds incredibly simple, but that's what I overlooked. Mine have worked without a hitch.

Like it should have been from the factory. I’m not mashing the throttle and it’s incredibly smooth acceleration. My wife drove it the other day and said it was much better. Happy wife, happy 4Runner life!!!

Interesting. I’ve averaged 19.7 on a 400 mile round trip all interstate and a highway trip to visit my dad I averaged 20.9 with the Nittos I had put on with the Pro wheels... Still love that MGM color!!!
