Mine already had quite a few years on them when I got the 'runner and they definitely don't heat up that fast. Not sure how fast new units would be.

Well, a compression test showed 160psi across all cylinders except for cyl #1 which was at 180. Not too bad for a truck with 320k km's (or 200k miles). Some new injectors and she's running smooth as glass.

Well that's scary... hopefully mine does not suffer the same fate. It's going in to a reputable shop next week so I'll post up any findings shortly thereafter. Thanks for responding dude.

Haha I'll take that as a compliment! Nope, but a few people have asked me that already. Given some time to finalize my design and become proficient at making them, I may, but for now I need to concentrate on all of my other projects. :cheers:

I can't speak for any brands other than BFG, but I've got KO's on my Runner and KO2's on my work truck (Ford Ranger :rolleyes:). Best wet traction of any tires I've used over the years. Planning on getting a set of KO2's for the Runner when I go up in size.

I actually meant the width and not the diameter. The factory split 3 spokes are 16x7" (I believe) - the width of 7" being the measurement between the inside lips of the rims. Reason I asked: for example, if running a 10" wide rim, one would have more danger of blowing a bead than someone who was...

What width rims are you running? I have 265/75/16 e load BFG KO's on stock split 3 spokes and I routinely run them at 15psi when hitting the dirt. While I've gone a bit lower to 12-13psi at times, there is definitely a greater need to be careful going around corners when running that low. You'd...
