Toyota of Bend was great and got me back on the road very quickly. New parts, both transmission and TQ. All seems good.

I understand the difference between new and remanufactured, and I am fine with either- I still have lots of warranty left. I would just think that in the end it would be a better bet for Toyota to go with new off the line parts. I believe the transmission is at the dealership as of yesterday...

So are all parts replaced under warranty replaced with remanufactured parts? Is this standard in the auto industry or just Toyota?

Spoke with the service rep (tanner) here at Toyota of bend. He stated that all parts would be new, transmission and torque converter. He could be blowing smoke, or misinformed, but I don't see why Toyota would want to screw around with putting used parts into vehicles still under warranty...
