RCI sliders & trimming 2011 SR5 rocker panels

Took some rough measurements and pushed forward in making a cut right below the chrome strip. Pretty exact fit, will post some pictures in some better lighting.

Who's had their 5th gen the longest?

2011 SR5 purchased in 2011. Almost 185K miles now. Has been crazy reliable...have been able to do all maintenance myself. Never seen a shop, except that single time I paid for an oil change. Only thing that has gone out is the alternator, and I think i remember that swap was pretty simple.

RCI sliders & trimming 2011 SR5 rocker panels

Previously trimmed the rocker panels to accommodate the nerf bar/steps from a TRD Pro. Need to do some more trimming for the 20 degree RCI sliders. Anyone happen to know how high I need to trim? Wondering if I need to cut above the chrome strip, or can I get away with trimming up to the...

Do you ever get bored with your T4R?

This is my first SUV...man i love it even after 7 years of ownership. It has been super reliable, gas mileage doesn't suck too bad even with the 285's (19.1 MPG), and it's not too big of a vehicle despite being a 7 seater.

Any of you nerds play computer games?

Other than recently, the last computer i built, was to play Diablo 2...heh. The recent PC (GTX 1080) was built to play virtual reality shooters on the HTC Vive. Have been someone addicted to Fallout 4 VR....loved fallout 3 on the Xbox, so the virtual reality version has been pretty sweet...

    Tire Weight Concern

I am on factory heavy SR5 wheels, but... was on 275 Cooper AT3's "C" rated for 40K miles. The dash had 19.6 MPG before i changed to bigger tires. Have been on 285 Duratracs in "D" rating for a week. Just been driving to work this week. Not heavy stop and go traffic, mostly moderate freeway...

Fans of RC, any of you pilot drones?

Yes, haha...I started with the KK2, then CC3D flight controllers. My brother in law also started with KK2, then Naze, then to some controller where it would stabilize the quad falling upside down. Half the fun was the learning/building process...but I got tired of keeping up with the latest...
