I wanted to take them off, but I didn't for a couple of reasons. So I took off the corner pieces (from a Trail Edition), and then used builders paper and painters tape to mask the top and sides. My son had sprayed Plasti-Dip before, on another project, so I let him handle the spraying.

My son and I blacked out my roof rails with Plasti-Dip. I really like it!

I was checking it pretty closely on the drive last night. The view out the front sides is diminished slightly but not at all bad, IMO.

Hi All, I'd like to get my front side windows tinted to match the rear side and cargo area windows. Is there a certain level of tint I should look for? Are their some techniques that are better than others? Haven't started to look for a shop yet and wanted to know what to look for. Thanks John

Hi All So I'm at my dealer for a 40k oil change and I noticed a new 4Runner on the sales floor. The badges jumped out to me as they are black and I've been wanting to do that myself. Well, come to find out they are badge overlays with double sided tape! I think I found my next update!
