No luck finding a reference to an amazon part. I'll see if the reman shop can do anything with it tomorrow. I really hope they can, otherwise the boat is going to have to stay home this weekend and that won't end well for the Toyota.

I pulled the DC motor out and took it apart. It looks to me as if the brushes are worn down to the end of their useful life. I cleaned the motor out, lubed it and was able to get it to work for another 5 minutes before it stopped again. Tap on the side of the motor and it'll work for a few more...

This makes it sounds like you do get some adjustment out of the 5100 strut. Is the extended length of this strut the same as the stock struts?

I need to know what the spring rates are. My wife uses the 4Runner as a daily driver, so I can't throw a set of stiff springs on there without having an idea of how they're going to feel. That's the biggest appeal of the spacers, the spring rate remains the same, or at least relatively close.

What are the spring rates between the Stock springs and the OME springs?

Also. I use the truck to yow a race car. Do any of you hav experience towing about 5000lbs with it lifted?

I'm considering getting a spacer kit to lift my 04. Are there any issues with suspension geometry by doing this lift with spacers? I know it will need an alignment, but beyond that?

I haven't followed this problem. But when we got our 4runner four years ago both seats squeaked. I pulled both of them out and sprayed every metal to metal joint with lubricant and they haven't made a sound since then.
