Just making sure (oil) - and I searched ;)

Interesting...... I guess I will stick to 5w30 all the way ;). I am no expert in oil so I was just throwing some things out to see what kind of responses I would get. All very helpful, thanks.

Yeah, that's what I decided to do actually :P ----- I just thought that thicker oil meant more protection. But hell, 5w30 can't be bad if that's what Toyota recommends. If I ever did change to a thicker oil then it would be 10w40.

    New parts have arrived!

Yeah me too! But there is a slight set back. My sunroof got stuck. According to the dealer there is no way to fix it (got a faulty unit :(). Unless a new headliner is ordered. The parts for the roof were supposed to arrive last Tuesday but it got put on backorder unfortunately. So it's going to...

    New parts have arrived!

Yep, they are finally here. I have been anxious for these parts to arrive. Haven't had the time to install them though, but later in the day I am going to start on it and hopefully finish, since it is cluttering my room and I have barely any room to move. The parts in include the JAOS Bull Bar...

Just making sure (oil) - and I searched ;)

I live in Florida and I am about to hit the 1500 mile mark on my 03' 4Runner. I am planning on changing the oil when I hit the mark, but I just wanted to get other people's opinions before I pour the new stuff in. What would you guys recommend using? (AMSOIL) 10w40 or (AMSOIL) 20w50? It doesn't...

You know, if you guys have not noticed (probably have), all you have to do to turn off your lights (instead of waiting for the delay) is just push your lock button twice. First time locks the door, second time in turns off the lights. Presto!

    Noob Question =/

Alright, well I am about to order new headlights for my car that allows me to see the road better and burn brighter but there is only one problem. Anyways, on the xtremewhite.com page it lists the proper bulbs that fit the new 03' 4Runner. It displays 9006 for low beam and 9005 for high beam...

    Pics of my 4Runner!

Some of you might have seen these on the other boards, but for those of you that haven't, ENJOY! It is a 2003 V8 Limited with X-Reas and all the other treats. I have some future mods up my sleeve. Getting ready to order a stainless steel JAOS Grille Guard along with the JAOS 110G Offroad...

How Does Your Exhaust Smell Like?

You my friend, are probably experiencing the sulfur smell. Luckily it never happened to me, muah hahahaha. Here's a link for some information: http://www.toyota-4runner.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=393&highlight=sulfur

    0-60

Yeah, the V6 has ten more ponies, but ponies aren't everything. The V8 has more torque therefore better "pick-up." So when you push that gas pedal, you go! Sure horses are nice if you are mainly driving around the redline, but highly unlikely in an SUV :P

    Funny H2 video...

LoL, what a piece. That's what happens when you go off-roading in a chevy. :D :p

    2003 4Runner Head Unit Area

Yeah you are right on the money, installation is running at $400 dollars and hopefully they can custom make a double din unit for my setup since I haven't found a company that makes one yet for the 03' models. Anyways, thanks for the help. I think I am going to stick with the plan on ordering it...
