Update: for anyone that has a ding or dent on their lift gate and the windows doesn't work or roll down much- for me, it was the wiper motor that obstructed the window from rolling down. I pried at it to push it back into place and it was fixed. Took some time to message it back. Thanks all

99-00 limited like all have mentioned. Has 4wd option and 4x4 and diff lock. You wont regret it if you are okay with auto

I tried both and they do the same. No problem with switches. Is the relay suppose to click so loudly?

How do i jump the wires and try it with just a 12v battery?

Went and took the interior panel off and it is impossible to reach the dent. By looking at all the tracks and gears, i do not see any obstructions. I even thought it might have been the rear wiper not seated correctly but it made no difference. I hear the relay click and the window moves down...

No noise when stopped. Same result with both switches.

Went to take a picture. . I guess its bigger than what i remembered and closer to center of emblem

If things like that can stop the window on it's tracks then im starting to think the dent is the problem.

Ill be taking it apart. it appears to work just wont work pass 1 inch haha

What can cause it to only roll down 1 inch??

I bought a 99 and didn't test the tailgate window before I bought it.stupid me. There's a small dent on the back where the Toyota emblem is. Literally a cm to the right. it's about quarter in size and 1 cm deep. I was wondering if its the small dent that's preventing the window from rolling...
