I've heard that they did it for towing purposes. That way when you are towing something heavy, your truck will be level, not sag in the back.

Yep, those would be the ones. I wasn't sure if they were suppose to come on or not every time the engine was started. Thanks for the heads up guys.

Just curious if you guys are running into this same symptom as well or if it is an effect of an aftermarket alarm that is installed on my 2008 Sport. When I start the engine, the running lights automatically come on. Anyone else have the same thing happen to them? I just got the 4runner...
