UPDATE: still experiencing this same issue. Extremely intermittent. I've gone weeks with no light issues at all. Then all of a sudden on a morning startup, the lights stay on. I can't find anything on the forums where people have experienced similar issues. Does anyone have any suggestions???

I didn't remove the pan it was just the fluid that was changed

Are you sure? I thought I recalled reading the opposite across multiple threads. That the slip yokes ("sliders") only get MAYBE 3-5 pumps of grease, and that the ujoints ("spiders") get multiple pumps until the grease starts coming out. That putting too much into the yokes can cause them to lock...
