    Satellite Radio

Thanks again, guys. Rich, nice write-up. I'm happy to hear about the satellite antennae being installed on the interior. Are you still able to use your steering-wheel audio controls? A friend told me about a $50 XM set he bought from Sam's Club. He rain the antennae from the trunk of his...

    Satellite Radio

Thinking of installing a satellite radio module to my factory stereo (which did not come with satellite capability). Wondering what is the best location for installing the satellite antennae and how best to route the wire. Does the antennae have to be on the outside of the car? Or could it be...

    Inverter question

Can anyone recommend an inverter for a 4th-generation 4-Runner? I'm looking for something I can plug into the console cig-lighter and power up a laptop computer. Thanks for your help. John

    Problem with Driver's Seat

Thanks, Larry. I appreciate the reply. After posting, I did just this and see there is quite a history of problems with 4th-generation 4Runner driver seats. This is utterly unbelievable. I just called and left a voicemail message with my local Toyota dealer service manager (who just...

    Problem with Driver's Seat

Got an '07 SR5 with the Liquicell power leather seats. Often, when I make a turn or sometimes even while driving and taking a corner, I feel movement (and hear a "click" sound) down inside the seat. It's just a slight movement and it feels like it's inside the seat (not the rails holding the...

    Speakers for back door

Thanks for the replies, guys. Will the MOMO coaxials fit in the rear doors? What size? I'm looking at the Alpine MRP F450 (I think) 70x4 amp. I'd love to add a small sub some day, maybe one of these mini stealth boxes with a shallow 10" sub so it wouldn't take up too much space. Where is...

    Speakers for back door

I'm researching speakers for my 07 Runner and wonder what everyone is using for the back doors. I thought I'd get a set of good coaxials, but Crutchfield lists very few which will fit in the back door. Should I just buy another set of components and use only the woofer for the back doors...

When gas prices get to $3 or $4 a gallon...

I do. Mine is getting 21 and its only a month old. I hope to get 23 or so by the time I have 7 - 10 K miles on it.

    let's talk coffee!

I like it black, strong and smooth. Starbucks has great coffee, but some of their blends are better than others. They're consistent, too. Sumatra is my fave. :)

    2008 Limited

Re: Re: 2008 Limited Some of us actually prefer the V6, will go out of our way to look for the V6 and would not buy the Runner with the V8. And for some, the better gas mileage of the V6 is simply icing on the cake. :)

Thank you guys. I'm beginning to get the fever for this audio stuff. :D

    Sound deadening material

Thanks, Chip. That Alpine 450 amp is one I'm considering. Gonna keep the stock head unit and install an amp, and some speakers. Looking at some JL Audio or Polk components for the front doors, and coaxial for the rear. I'd love to install a sub in the factory location, but my system is the...

Need help with amp for my navigation system

Hi EvenSteven, I know little about car audio, but have been researching as of late. Been looking at amps and speakers to add to my factory non-JBL head unit. I don't want to switch head units as I like the clean, factory, sleeper look. Thus, as I understand it, one must use an amp with...

    Sound deadening material

Thanks, SP. I had a couple of Tacomas, too, a 99 and an 06. Nice trucks. I wish the 06 had been a quieter ride, but I'm sure this stuff would have made a difference. I'm impressed with how quiet my 07 4Runner is, but I want to make it even quieter, which is why I'm looking at this stuff...
