I tried disconnecting the battery for ten minutes and it looks like it reset everything ie no more lights and no more shuddering. I will keep an eye on the alt.

The other day when I was pulling into a parking space my 05 4runner started to shudder/stop/surge. It also did this while pulling out. My engine warning lights went on a few days earlier including the VSC lights. Driving straight at speed seems fine. Any ideas?

my 1977 vette had 4 piston calipers and these would freeze up. I figured my 2005 4runner would be better. Twenty eight years later 4 piston calipers still lock up. As others mentioned you have have to anticipate you have to change calipers when changing pads
