Drive Problems - Low Speed Tight Turns

Hello All
The other day when I was pulling into a parking space my 05 4runner started to shudder/stop/surge. It also did this while pulling out. My engine warning lights went on a few days earlier including the VSC lights. Driving straight at speed seems fine. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance

have your alternator checked (and/or clean and check the electrical connections yourself on the battery, alternator and starter). If more than one light goes on (at least in older Toyotas) the alternator was going out.

If you do need an alternator, I'd go to the dealer. I went through 3 at AZ before giving up and going to the dealer.

I tried disconnecting the battery for ten minutes and it looks like it reset everything ie no more lights and no more shuddering. I will keep an eye on the alt.

Sounds like you may have inadvertantly locked the center diff. That would give you a VSC OFF light on the dash and explain the low speed, sharp turn behavior.
