Can you expand on what you hate about it? Genuinely curious, I have KDSS but have never driven one without so don't really know conclusively whether I even care that I have it...just happened to be on the vehicle that we were able to make a deal on at the time.

Depending on how much you want to spend you can have an excellent sounding stereo without removing the factory HU...this is one of those things that really doesn't have much of an upper end in terms of how much a person can spend though so when someone asks about improving the stereo it's hard...

Not sure what your warranty situation is but I had what sounds like the same creek fixed under warranty...it took them a couple of tries and I think they ended up replacing the seat frame itself...

If you can't find any spacers/adapters that work you can google up mr marv...he supplied mine and they worked really well. And they're made from wood vs plastic which is nice from a resonance standpoint I am sure. He normally does Tacoma rings I think but he's done my 4runner and I'm sure...
