How are the gains of aftermarket headers on an NA engine? Is it worth the trouble?

I've been thinking about an aftermarket exhaust, and while I'm sure the best performance and fit is from TRD products, they sure are pricey. Like the title says, I'm looking for the best bang for the buck. Help me. Juan
