I got the aluminium one from Harbor Freight. I bone-out in the field and put meat in my Yeti cooler, so no exhaust issues. You could make a plywood or sheet metal floor for the rack that would keep exhaust off your kill.

Dropped almost a full month's pay on a Baja Utility Rack, ARB awning and James Baroud RTT.

I put an OME lift and 275 tires on my 2012 SR5. Definitely feels stiffer and I would say mushy nose dive has been completely eliminated. I don't have a bull bar or aftermarket bumper.

Another option is the Skene Design bracket. Still requires drilling the bumper just above the lower grill, but the holes are discreet and on the underside, not big scars on the front of the bumper.

Aside from Jam23r1's uncle's custom job and the ARB alloy rack, is anyone making 5th gen aluminium roof racks?
