Aluminium Roof Racks

Aside from Jam23r1's uncle's custom job and the ARB alloy rack, is anyone making 5th gen aluminium roof racks?

I have been checking up with FrontRunner for few months now. Last update I got was about a month ago. They did a test install on one 4runner and it looked great, but they are still waiting on mounting kits and final cost from Africa. Wrote them another message today and see what they will say.

I have the Front Runner Roof Rack prototype on my 2013 that was installed a couple of months ago and it's awesome! Very little wind noise and a lot of compliments. Well worth the wait for one. Very clean lines and total quality!

I have been researching too and the front runner looks the best for the aluminum flat style racks. I would recommend waiting until they have them in stock. I

I think also Rhino Rack makes Aluminum roof trays (their roof basket is a little different) that may be worth considering.

Can you share a picture? I recently learned of this rack and it sounds great. Slim profile, strong, light and modular with storage, etc.

I am hoping to install my Front Runner rack this weekend. If I get it up there I will make a post on it or start a build thread since I am pretty much to that point any way. I will say this the rack is top notch and seems well built it's not the full rack but it's perfect for my set-up.

I would love to see it. I like that it's shorter than the Gobi. I don't really have a need for a full length rack that costs $2000. The other option I am looking at is the ARB. Although it might be too tall. I am afraid I won't fit in my garage.

The Front Runner and Eezi Awn racks look pretty solid and configurable since they use the extruded T-slot style construction. Check out this thread for other ways to get rid of disposable income!
