I had similar problems as OP with my 95 that I bought two weeks ago. I checked the solenoids as per the manual and found one of the solenoids, the S2, reading 75 ohms at the ECM plug to ground. They all three should show 11-15 ohms. I dropped the pan and pulled the wires off for another...

Just purchased 95 3.0L with 2WD It has a A340E transmission and 217,000 miles on it. I have a question on the transmission solenoids......if one is acting up will it make the transmission slip? I noticed today that when starting out in Drive it reved higher than normal and very little forward...

Mines in the mail also... Now who know if the teeth face to the front or rear when I try to put the new one in? Nothing left of the old one but a broken three inch chrome stub.
