New transmission and modern niceties are what I want in the 6th gen 4R. 8 speed or 10 speed to match current vehicles at least. The 4th gens have a nice soft touch plastic interior so it was strange that the 5th gens went largely hard touch plastic.

I feel like a turbo would go against the 4R’s calling card of dependability and low maintenance. Don’t get me wrong, I’d love a 300+ hp / torque 6th gen but not if it’s going to require me to baby and coddle the engine.
