Daily Driving a 3" lift questions

Thanks man! Definitely agree, have a lot miles left on these tires :sobbing: I do actually like the look of the trails wheels and I'll probably leave them. I'd like the offset of new wheels and I'm not a big fan of wheel spacers, At least they don't set in that bad - those 285's will probably...

Daily Driving a 3" lift questions

Hey Everyone, thanks so much for your help! reading on all the posts really helped me make the decision to go with with the 3" lift and I couldn't be happier. I just got my 4runner back yesterday with a 3" Bilstein/Toyotec lift installed with SPC UCA's. The current tires are 275/70r17's and...

Daily Driving a 3" lift questions

Hey all, Thanks for the responses and the photos. I was looking at the 2.5” and all your comments. I don’t believe the .5” will make or break how easily it is going to get in reading through the responses With that said.. I made the decision to go with the 3” Toytec/bilstein lift and SPC UCA...

Daily Driving a 3" lift questions

To your first response, Tires are pretty new ,275/70r17 with 3,000 miles on them, so I'd wait until they wore down before buying 285's. thanks for the input on the rest, I am very familiar with the tub design and the pain getting in and out. If I'm understanding your post right and the one...

Daily Driving a 3" lift questions

Hey all, Trying to decided between the Eibach or bilstein 2.5 versus the 3" Bilstein/Toytec. I've been through a lot of pics of the different lifts and tires, but never with people standing next to them. I can see that it is taller, but can't judge how tall it really sits if your having to...

    Eibach Pro-truck lift

More pics please, and preferably with 275/70R17 .. Looking at doing this lift in March, and Can't decided between this lift, the Bilstein 3", or the Bilsteins adjustables with 2.5" coils/1.5" saw. Three options can't decide.

What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

Was tired of the mudflaps, and modified them today. Took the fronts off, but cut the back to fit the hole. I cut enough off of the side to place the holes behind the lip of the rear bumper giving it a very nice clean look. Took picture of the rears to show off since most people know how the...

Any feedback on Larry Miller Toyota of Boulder, CO?

I bought my 2016 4runner Trail Premium from Larry H Miller Toyota in Boulder. I did not want the TRD or an SR5. I could only find 2 other dealerships that had trail premiums in the colors I wanted. They were all similarly priced. I have had zero issues with my 4runner since buying it there...

85 Octane in Colorado? Toyota says yes. What do you say?

It just has to do with the elevation. So at sea level you have 87,89,91 and when your at elevation like in Colorado you have 85,87,91 because there is less oxygen in the air it requires less "octane." So if your running 85 octane running around Denver metro area you'll be fine and if you run...

    Who’s rig is this?

Hey! I like new duplicate threads... How else would I get to see people post 80 times on how there is another thread for it? It helps keep the thread alive on the front page so I can see all the new same comments. I'd really like to see all the forums change their name's to...

Would anyone buy this cement grey

I would not buy a salvage title vehicle especially for $38,000. No matter what price, restored or not. That vehicle will ALWAYS carry a salvage title and if you decide to trade it in one day to a dealer they will look at the title and give you significantly less for it.

What did you Plasti Dip on your 5th gen?

That's what I liked most when i looked into this, the non permanent being the biggest pro and being able to get different colors. The two big things I wasn't happy about was that even after 6 coats (maybe I went to light) when I started peeling the excess it would continually rip going around...

    Car washes and black 4Runners

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qVRli2in0JI <-- car washes amiright It's better to leave a black car dirty then run it through brushes at an automatic car wash, they run them all day, are abrasive, and I don't think they clean them often. Black is a hard color to keep nice especially for...

What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

First and last time using Plasti dip-wasn't too impressed with the product. Hopefully it last longer than the advertised "6 months." I don't see the chrome emblems and letters anymore, so that makes me happy.
