1998 Toyota 4runner limited alarm system light is broken

OP, Please post a pic of said button and whatever else you have installed that coincides with the alarm. I too have what appears to be a factory "security system". It's a black button with a small red light in the center with the words "Security Alarm" written on it in white letters. However...

Snow Tire Help (and general ranting)

I have the Cooper Discovery LSX Plus in the stock size (16"). Albeit not the most aggressive looking tire, it has done surprisingly well in the Chicagoland winter so far. The stopping grip is impressive but you can easily get them to spin in RWD mode. In AWD mode I can hardly get them to break...

    What's your MPG?

I average 21mpg with a mix of city and highway (35% city/65% highway). I am getting about 350 miles to the tank on regular unleaded (87 octane). I drive no faster than 70mph on the highway, and typically try to stay at 2k RPM's which puts me at about 62mph.

Best Place's To Mount Your Guns In A 3rd Gen

In Illinois, you are not required to inform the Officer unless you are directly asked by the Officer if you are carrying concealed. Which you choose is probably going to be situationally dependent. Also, I would STRONGLY advise against what someone posted earlier about telling the Officer...

Best Place's To Mount Your Guns In A 3rd Gen

I try to keep mine on my person whenever in the truck. I appendix carry so the whole seat belt issue is a non-issue for me. Before I step in, I hike my pants up a bit, tuck my outer garment behind my EDC, and get in and buckle up. 100% easily accessible and by hiking up your pant a little bit...

Have you folks seen this History CH show?

I would also recommend that you guys check out this show that aired a while back, all 15 Episodes can be found on Youtube. They are an expedition crew that travels all over the place with a Taco and an LC. Some pretty good footage with humor, pain, and boozing mixed in. Expedition Overlands...

How many miles on your 4runner?

My 2001 SR5 Sport Edition has 127k miles. I'm putting on about 1,500 to 2,000 miles per month (70 mile commute to work everyday) with this DD so it's gonna go up quick. It's been a trooper so far!
