My 2001 was running rough/misfiring so I took it to a shop and got the below report. They recommended rebuilt/reman head for engine replacement. I have no reason not to trust their assessment and I am not mechanically knowledgeable so my own inspection, but a 2nd opining would be appreciated...

My 01 4runner is making the exact same sound is at GX in the video attached in the first post on the forum linked below. Is that a pretty clear sign that its the master cylinder? Unfortunately, I have only put about .02 miles on it, but the brakes were pretty spongy the 3 times I used them...
