This is what I was looking for, thanks! Do you know the name of the switch? Is it IN the trans or on the outside somewhere?

"Transmission Relay" in the passenger kick panel

Not the link I have. Is there a better one? https://www.teamtoyota4x4.org/archivio/1996%20to%202002%20Toyota%204Runner%20Repair%20and%20Wiring%20Manuals/techinfo.toyota.com/ileaf/ewdtmc2/ewdtmpdf/ewdsourc/2002/024runne/systemci/0394wd.pdf is pining for the fjords.

"Transmission Relay" in the passenger kick panel

Short post: Looking for a wiring diagram for a 1999 SR5 Highlander V6 auto, I need to know what specifically signals that relay and where to find it. Long post: wife's '99 is doing this thing where she hears an almost constant but random clicking from that kick panel, and an also-random violent...

    87 4 Runner Build

I've thought about it. But I discovered how much more fun it is to drive a rig I actually fit in and I'm gonna have a hard time going back...

You're not wrong. Facebook groups have their place, but web forums are so much better for knowledge base kinda stuff.

    87 4 Runner Build

I check in every now and again. Clearly not often enough to reply to PMs or mentions on time, but I get around to it. I miss the Bastard and I miss yacking with you guys. I thought about starting another 1st gen, but then I sat in one and discovered I'm not nearly that flexible anymore. I'm...

I don't have any, sorry. I just used an existing hole on the passenger side fender and bolted one side of the fuel filter to it.

    KidV's 1985 4Runner

No more updates. I'm making an effort to simplify and streamline, and the Bastard was a casualty of that effort. The new owner will have time to get it back on the dirt where it belongs and I'll start another down the road when I have the resources to do it right.

Eh? Not a mod, mang. Never have been. But if I were, I would definitely IP ban that dude for general spamminess.

    KidV's 1985 4Runner

It's 98% done, I just haven't gotten around to finishing it. Too many chores, too many other hobbies. I'm wobbling back and forth between paying somebody to finish it or just parting it out, wanna make up my mind for me?

Because they get used. That's why the list is topped by SUV versions of pickups, they based on the pickups but mostly don't get used like the pickups.
