RR Diff Lock

One thing I would like to know is Do I need to push the 4WD button then L4 before the RR Diff lock will engage ?

RR Diff Lock

98 4Runner Ltd L4 or Neutral when the RR Diff Lock switch is pushed the light will blink forever. Is there any trick to get the Diff Lock engage or it is a problem ?

Clunk noise from 4H - 2H

98 4Runner Ltd 135,000km I have a loud clunk noise when shift from 4H-2H by release the 4WD button. It happend after the 4WD button is released when the SUV moving or not. Any idea ?
