Clunk noise from 4H - 2H

98 4Runner Ltd 135,000km
I have a loud clunk noise when shift from 4H-2H by release the 4WD button. It happend after the 4WD button is released when the SUV moving or not. Any idea ?

That clunk should be normal.

I have 2000 4wd and everytime I shift into AWD or 4WD I hear to clunk and thats good cuz I know for sure it engaged.

It shouldnt be too low..but I hear it everytime my windows are down...not sure when windows are up.
