    P340 fixed but still stalling

thanks all for the comments. The car was running great for a little while and now I have 3 codes P0340 / P0130 / P0133 P0340 - I'll probably go back and install the OEM sensor from the factory knowing that the aftermarket one isn't the fix but was cleaning the IAC valve. that salved my idle...

    P340 fixed but still stalling

thanks for this, bookmarked. the idle has actually come down to ~600 over a few days and seems to be holding. so far much more reliable. I plan on cleaning the entire intake from MAF to TB and IAC when I have time. (and replace fuel filter) if I need to I will. ya didnt get a good look at...

    P340 fixed but still stalling

well just picked up my daughter from day care and it stalled again, with the P0340 code again! - it's a new (not OEM) camshaft position sensor! not happy. Also, after cleaning the throttle body, it idles at 900rpm now but think that will just level out over time?

    P340 fixed but still stalling

Howdy all. a few times now i've had the vehicle shut down on me when I slow to a stop. at first it also triggered a check engine light [P340 - camshaft position sensor]. So I promptly replaced that and got going again. Today on my way to work it stalled again but no check engine light. I...

    FS - PRICE DROP - 1996 (3rd gen) 4Runner SR5 - $12,600

Selling my 4runner because I have a baby coming in January and want to have something with a bit more modern safety features. Originally a California car (no rust) and I drove it to Houston, TX where it still lives. I've spent many hours under this thing getting into the condition it's in...

    FS/FT - 1996 SR5 4runner Supercharged - 270K miles - $13,000 OBO/trade - Houston, TX

I am saddened to say that I am putting the 4runner up for sale. I find that I'm just not using it for what its built for. I wanted a project and dirt roads. Finished the project but don't have enough time for dirt. I think its time I let her go to someone that will use it more. Great...

    Automatic transmission fluid level

So, just got back from driving, and there are some driving improvements. before driving: - added 1 quart, level was at the top of the COLD range During driving: - shifts are a little bit smoother, not as hard between 1 and 2 anymore. - can see the temps move up and down based on driving style...

    Automatic transmission fluid level

I see, ill play around with it today. thanks. This is definitely becoming the consensus amongst everyone. It was slipping just after the shift kit install, added some (1 qrt) and it no longer slipped. but I am still well short of the HOT mark. I may be remembering wrong, but comparably it...

    Automatic transmission fluid level

Tim, I am doing everything you talk about, to a T, and I always check in my garage (very level ground) but I am mostly worried about putting too much fluid in, ill explain down below... Bootown, you and Tim both mention the coldmark as a ballpark level, but how ballpark are we talking? after...
