80's are full float axles. Different design, can be field serviced (I got to be pretty quick at servicing the wheel bearings on mine when i had it.

Squeek The only real gripe I have about the truck is the squeak/rattle that I get from the ceiling console in front of the sunroof. The materials that support it above the headliner are incompatible and create an annoying rattle.
