I have this in my Taco so it will also fit in a 3rd gen runner. The radio is trimmed about 1/4 inch on each side to fit in the opening so I'm not 100% it would fit in a 04. $185 shipped.

Thank's for all the help I'm going sell my 6 disk unit. I got lucky and had a friend who sold me a new 06 Ipod ready Scion unit.

Sooo if you didn't trade out the radio bezel would you have to cut the bezel? The reason I'm asking is that I'm going to sell my Scion unit and I have cut it down to fit a Taco so if someone with a runner bought it, I didn't know if it would fit.

Hey sharp4runr did you have trim the radio to get it to fit in your runner? I know on the Taco you need to trim about a 1/4 inch on each side.

OK I finally talked to him he said it was not a JBL radio but the speakers have JBL on them.

I will foward this on to him, he has a work car which of course he drives to work and leaves the runner at home so I have not seen the radio.

He has a stock Toyota radio but it has the JBL speaker system in it.

I'm not 100% sure but I think he said it was not but, I will ask him.

I did a search here and did find what I was looking for so, here it goes. I did the Scion radio swap in my Taco and a coworker has a 04 Runner and wanted to do the same his question was he has the rear radio control's will they work if he does the swap? Also he asked about the surround sound...
