    Rear Wheel Bearing Replacement 2008 T4R Ltd 4WD V8

Yep, that's what I ordered. Actually I just discovered that I ordered two sets of the seals, one set from Amazon, which may not be OEM and one set from eBay labelled as genuine Toyota parts. Once I receive them, I'll likely return the Amazon set... I'm glad you pointed that out! Thanks.

    Rear Wheel Bearing Replacement 2008 T4R Ltd 4WD V8

Hi guys, I've read some and watched a couple of videos on replacing the rear bearings on the 4th Gen T4R. I would like to ensure that I am ordering all the right parts that I need to do the job. Here's what I've ordered thus far: Passenger Side Rear Wheel Bearing Hub Assembly (Koyo ATM...

2008 T4R Limited - Replacement Stereo Head Unit

Howdy folks, I'm looking for recommendations for a replacement head unit for my T4R. I'd like back-up camera capability, wireless Apple CarPlay, and the ability to turn the screen off, or at least dim it down quite dark for night driving. Budget up to $500. So what have you all purchased...

3" lift kits only seem to lift the back 2"

Following as I'd like to do something similar with my 2008 V8 AWD Limited. I'd like to level it to a point, gaining some height but having a just a slight rake on it. I'd like to see your before and after photos... Thanks.

    Stock 2008 T4R AWD V8 Limited - Lift Options?

I took some measurements today. From the center of the hub to the fender edge: Front - 18-3/8" Rear - 21" So if I understand this, I need to raise my front up about 2-1/2" to level it out. Looking at Eibach they offer a Pro-Lift Kit (a set of coil springs) that provide 1.8" of lift in the...

    Stock 2008 T4R AWD V8 Limited - Lift Options?

Well, I would like function over looks, that's for sure, but I don't want to imply that I'll be doing serious offroading. Most of the time this will be my daily driver to/from work (~25 miles/day total, five days/week). I may go off road a handful of times in the year, but if I dabble in it...

    Stock 2008 T4R AWD V8 Limited - Lift Options?

Hi all- I've looked around a bit, but I confess I know so little about lifting a vehicle that I struggle to make sense of all that is needed. So, I'm turning to the collective knowledge of those on this forum. I bought my 2008 T4R new from our local dealer in 2008 and have used it lightly -...

What did you do with your 4runner today?

On my 2008 T4R V8 Limited AWD, I replaced the Bank 1 Oxygen Sensor 1 after getting the P0031 code. Read up a bit on what others did and that helped. This sensor is located on the driver's side of the engine and is upstream of the catalytic converter right up close the engine itself making...

    Anyone recognize this sound?

I have a very similar noise in my '08 T4R (V8). A very faint, but consistent ticking noise only when I have the airflow coming through the dash vents, happens whether the A/C is on or off and even with the engine not running. If I select the floor or defrost flow paths it ceases. Anyone come...

'08 T4R Limited V8 - Slight Ticking Noise from AC

Hi All- At ~131k miles I just started to notice a constant ticking noise when I run the AC fan in my vehicle. The noise is constant despite the speed of the fan. It ceases whenever I change the flow path, that is when I select the floor or the defrost mode the sound goes away. However, when...

    08 Limited 4WD V8 Steering Wheel Vibration

Update: Had the front end aligned, the toe was out by only 0.06 deg in the driver's side. That was all. I then had the shop rotate and roadforce balance all the tires using the fingers to ensure a lug-centric balance. They found one tire with an excessive roadforce value, which they said...

    08 Limited 4WD V8 Steering Wheel Vibration

Well, I checked my front tires last night and could not detect any looseness in either the vertical or horizontal plane. So that suggests that the bearings may not be the issue. My next step will be a front end alignment.

    08 Limited 4WD V8 Steering Wheel Vibration

Hi All- Original owner of a 2008 T4R Limited V8 4WD; vehicle has just over 122k miles on it and was used to tow a 5,000 lb. camper several times throughout the year from 2009 - 2019. It has a slight vibration in the steering wheel that begins at about 63 MPH and stops at about 70 MPH. The...

2008 Limited V8 AWD - Tire Balance Expectation

No shimmy in the steering wheel, so I feel confident that I had at least one "bad" Michelin tire up front. I still feela slight vibration in the seat, so I'm gonna rotate the tires myself to see if that moves to the front and comes through the steering wheel. If it does, then it'll be back to...
