i just purchased a 2001 4runner a couple months back. yesterday i changed the valve cover gaskets and spark plugs. i discovered inside the valve covers was alot of sludge. i have a couple questions.
1. should i use C foam to flush it?
2. can i switch to synthetic? there are no leaks...
i had my timing belt replaced after i purchased my 2001 toy 4runner. i have noticed a slight ticking noise on the drivers side. the noise goes away if the rpms go up. it does not seem loud enough to worry but wondering what it is should i be concerned?
